Simone began practising in 2002 after travelling extensively around India; hearing the sounds and seeing yogis ascending in and out of temple’s triggered something deep inside. On returning from India, Simone practised as a student of Iyengar, ashtanga and vinyasa yoga, completed 350hrs of teacher training at Ihana YTT and will be going to Thailand in August for another 200-hour training with Kosta Miachin to learn his yoga method. Yoga has given Simone courage, strength, support, knowledge and a much calmer and peaceful way of living.
Sophie has been a dedicated yogi for more than a decade and has a deep connection to all aspects of the practice. Sophie is fond of all movement, amazed by the human body, and most of all, completely surrendered to the power of the breath. Sophie likes to teach and practice in a way that balances freedom and discipline, always governed by the overarching cycle of the breath. It is from there that we can begin to open ourselves up to the plethora of potential growth and healing that yoga has to offer us. Sophie is here to share and hold space, and to pass on the lineage of the yogic tradition in an endeavour to offer the tools we can use to navigate modern life with joy and hopefully a bit of peace. Inner peace takes a little hard work and a lot of commitment, our practice is the shining light.
